In the mid-90s, the Macedonian movie “Before the Rain” was nominated for Oscar. It nearly got it. At the same time, the movie produced by Steven Spielberg, “The Peacemaker,” was being shot in Macedonia. Because of the wars in ex-YU countries, many film stars were visiting the country’s peace ambassadors. In Macedonia, at that time, there was no magazine dedicated to movies. IMDB was non-existing and in that setting, and because I loved movies together with few other friends, we decided to publish a movie magazine.
The creative side of the magazine was successful, but the financial side was a big flop, so the magazine failed to see the light of the day.
